Fabrice Muamba: Critical in Hospital

Sometimes football just doesn't matter. The Tottenham Hotspur verses Bolton Wanderers FA Cup quarter final was abandoned after 41 minutes following the on-field collapse of Bolton player Fabrice Muamba. Initially  there was no definite news about the condition of the player, but all the signs were that this was an extremely serious situation as it was reported that he had stopped breathing and that defibrillators had been used in attempts to save his life.

The 23 year old was then taken to hospital and while we all awaited news and  prayed that it did not turn into a tragic outcome. Fans from all teams united and came together in wishing the very best for Muamba. At quarter past eight news began to emerge (via SSN) that Fabrice was in a stable condition and breathing in hospital. However, a statement at 9.30pm stated that Fabrice Muamba is critically ill in intensive care at the heart attack centre of London Chest Hospital.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Fabrice.
