Focus On The Valley - Charlton Athletic

The Valley is a fairly modern and imposing stadium that has been home to Charlton Athletic since 1919. The ground was extensively re-developed on three sides during the 1990s and early 2000s - those who saw The Valley when it was left virtually derelict between 1985 and 1992 would scarcely believe the rate of progression the club has made since returning home. Sadly for Charlton, the bubble burst on the pitch, with quick relegations leaving them in the third tier of football for the first time since 1981.
My first visit to Charlton was in early 2010, although the full review has only just been written. Click here to see the full review and set of photos.
